Questionable Deposition
Greetings, crickets and trolls. Welcome back to another edition of the Friday Q&A. This regular feature has been a staple of the Picture Clinic for quite some time. Each week, I present the facts for you to review. I'm no journalist, but I try to cover Fark community interest stories to the best of my ability. Let's get to this week's questions. If you disagree with me at any point, you can fuck off and never come back.
Like that would happen.
Q: Do you have an important announcement?
A: Everything I announce is important. This is really more of a PSA. In case you missed Mike's recent posting, Fark is about to change its URLs. Anyone who uses htaccess to prevent hotlinking will need to update their file. Otherwise, your entries might not display properly in the contests. You can read more about the upcoming changes here.
Q: What's new at the Clinic?
A: This week, I added several new games to the Arcade. I don't often update that page, since most embedded flash is pure crap. However, you can't go wrong with cheap ripoffs of the classics. I'm sure you'll find them to be as action-packed as they are legally distinct.
Q: Has the Golden Age of Photoshop returned?
A: The Golden Age will never return. No one can even agree when it actually occurred. I suppose each individual has their own personal Golden Age of Fark. I've yet to see any evidence to prove that one generation of Photoshoppers is superior to another. Each era had its fair share of geniuses and hacks, with plenty of room in between.
That's all for this time, gentle reader. As usual, thanks for stopping by. I want to close this post by once again congratulating those responsible for the recent uptick in theme submissions. The voters have spoken, and the new queue is a runaway success.
Stay tuned for more upbeat observations from the Doctor!
